Gizmodo, citing Bloomberg, reported that federal prosecutors in San Francisco asked on Oct 8 for the case to be sealed, writing that "the defendant, his wife, and a third family member have booked one-way tickets from San Francisco to Saudi Arabia (via Istanbul) for Monday, October 12." Alfozan was arrested on Oct 9. Prosecutors say a chatbot account linked to his wife held queries about audio recording and encrypting SD card contents.

Alfozan is a venture partner at Saudi venture firm Raed Ventures. Unusual Whales' post on the report passed 3,700 likes.
