Anthropic told investors its third-quarter revenue rose about 46% from the previous quarter's $11.5 billion to $16.8 billion, and that it was profitable on an adjusted basis.

The company presented the figures at an investor meeting at its San Francisco office on Oct 14, the Financial Times reported, adding that cash flow was positive. Anthropic is preparing for an IPO in November, and financial news account tradfi reported that its draft S-1 warns AI could pose "existential risks to humanity."

Pre-IPO trading had cooled beforehand. Unusual Whales reported that Anthropic's pre-IPO perpetual on Liquid fell more than 10% in a month, below a $2 trillion valuation. On X, the "adjusted" profit drew jokes like comparing it to a betting record "after removing the bets I lost."

“BREAKING: Anthropic is now down over 10% in the last month, wiping more than $200 billion from its implied valuation.”
