A Korean neighborhood dentist with a biology degree, not a computer science one, used Claude and Codex coding agents to automate most of his clinic's back office, and his write-up has gone viral in Korea.
Posted Oct 13 to the 'AI Local Homelab' channel on forum Arca.live, the post had 210,000 views, 406 upvotes and 140 comments by the morning of Oct 15. To keep patient data inside the clinic, he says he runs DeepSeek and GLM locally on 12 NVIDIA DGX Spark-class machines linked in groups of four. He says the AI read a backlog of 904 insurance documents (3,389 pages) in 69 minutes and automatically confirmed 5,319 of 6,928 line items (77%).
An in-house phone exchange lets an AI answer calls first and transcribe and summarize them in real time. He says he dropped his accounting service, several subscriptions and ad agencies, cutting marketing spend to zero. An X post sharing the write-up passed 1,100 likes and 250,000 views, while one skeptic estimated the setup likely loses money once hardware costs are counted.
