KoreaCarrying AI glasses into Korea's college entrance exam voids the test; wearing them bans next year too

Korea's education ministry and the national exam agency will void the college entrance exam (CSAT) of any student who brings smart glasses into the test room, even without using them.

Under proctor guidelines released Oct 15, a student who wears smart glasses during the test without handing them in before the first period loses that year's exam and is barred from the next year's. Refusing a proctor's request to take off glasses and place them on the desk can be treated as serious misconduct.

Students wearing smart glasses were recently caught at essay exams at Yonsei University and the University of Seoul. MBC reported on Oct 16 that just bringing them can cost a student this year's exam, which takes place Nov 19.
