Google opens Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to paid AI Pro subscribers, with its own weekly quota

Google has started rolling out Gemini 4 Argon, its newest frontier model, in its Antigravity coding-agent tool to paid Google AI Pro subscribers.

The official Antigravity account said on Oct 15 that Pro users get a separate weekly-only Argon quota on top of the existing Gemini 3.8 Flash bucket. "Demand has been incredible and we've scaled capacity deliberately to get here," the account wrote. When Argon launched on Oct 13, only Ultra subscribers could use it in Antigravity. The post passed 4,000 likes, and one reply said it would have been "much better" to do this on launch day.

Antigravity's model docs say Argon is not available on Pro free trials or the Free and Plus tiers. It runs in the Antigravity app, CLI and IDE extensions, but not in the Antigravity IDE. The same page notes that Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-OSS 120B will be retired on Nov 2.
