KoreaKorean startup VCAT made AI action scenes for a TV Asahi period drama, and its promo ran in Times Square
Korean AI marketing startup VCAT worked as the AI production house on a period drama for Japanese broadcaster TV Asahi.
According to Money Today on Oct 23, VCAT handled AI for demanding action scenes in "Sanada Ten Braves," co-produced by TV Asahi and Toei. It combined live-action footage with AI and VFX to swap backgrounds and add people, matching Sengoku-era historical detail. TV Asahi sought an AI studio as scenes hard to do with VFX piled up, and VCAT was the only Korean company involved.
A promo made entirely with AI, without a shoot, ran on a Times Square billboard on Oct 19. CEO Jung Bum-jin said the project shows its AI video work is recognized globally.
