SpaceX AI engineer Lauren Tan's 15-assistant team built with the AI agent Grok Bot went viral on X. A 55-minute video with Chinese and English subtitles, posted on Oct. 28 by the Chinese-language account NoDiscoInHere, passed 170,000 views and 2,200 likes.

The team has one chief of staff, three managers and 11 executive assistants, and the video covers how they split work and how much to trust them. It matches what Tan described on a Creator Economy podcast last month: her engineering lead bot "Matcha" does no work itself, breaks big projects down for engineering bots, and those bots spin up coding agents in the cloud. She has bots test their own work before merging and builds trust "one skill at a time."

Replies were more practical for would-be copycats. One user advised starting with one chief of staff and two assistants rather than copying all 15, saying the key is the handoff format: state the goal, input files, output format, acceptance criteria and deadline for every task. Another dismissed it as company promotion, saying real work doesn't look like that.

Grok Bot also got a big update that day adding "pages" and "dashboards." AI creator Alex Finn posted a video on five dashboards that saved him usage (2,000 likes) and shared a prompt for a "Mission Control" dashboard that shows what all his bots are doing.

“How does one person manage 15 AI assistants to get work done?”
