A Japanese developer's post saying a month of working with Claude Code caused enough stress to affect their health passed 2,000 likes and 360,000 views on X.

'I kept raising it, believing it would become comfortable once nurtured, but now I'm feeling intense stress to the point where it's starting to affect my health. I want to stop using AI,' @sasaki445 wrote on Oct 19. They added that they end up pointing out every small deviation from instructions and 'blurting out harsh words that I couldn't direct at a person.'

The same day, Anthropic's Thariq Shihipar, who works on Claude Code, wrote that 'most people multi-tasking with agents could benefit from slowing down,' asking what it would look like to give your P0 your full attention. The post drew 3,800 likes. To a reply asking whether he should be telling people to use more tokens, he answered: 'I know you're not paying API pricing.'

Anthropic's own workforce report points the same way. Per Fortune, 80% of the elapsed time in Claude sessions was agents waiting on human input, and the share of sessions spent on 'meta-work' like managing agents rose from 10% to 22%. One employee described it as 'an army of Claudes, with every one asking for my attention.'

“I think most people multi-tasking with agents could benefit from slowing down most of the stuff you're doing wont really matter- what's your P0?”
