Anthropic has an unannounced multiyear cloud deal with IREN, a bitcoin miner, The Information reported.

According to the October 11 report, the pact is one of roughly $530 billion in data-center leases Anthropic is racing to bring online. Its value and term were not disclosed.

Citing analyst estimates, The Information said bringing a single 245-megawatt site online one month early would add more than $1.3 billion in revenue, which explains why Anthropic is pushing partners to build faster.

The capacity sprint increasingly depends on current and former bitcoin miners such as Hut 8, TeraWulf, IREN and Nscale, on top of Anthropic's disclosed deals with AWS, Google and more than a dozen other providers.
