Amazon is in talks to acquire Decart, a startup that builds real-time video AI models, in a deal that could be worth about $7 billion.

A deal could come soon if talks don't fall apart and no other suitor emerges, the Wall Street Journal reported on October 11. Reuters said it could not immediately verify the report, and neither company commented.

Decart makes Lucy, a model that edits live video in real time, and Oasis, which generates simulated environments to train and test robots and self-driving systems. PitchBook data put its valuation near $4 billion in May, when it raised $300 million in a round led by Radical Ventures with Nvidia joining.

Anthropic explored buying Decart in August for around $6 billion but dropped the idea last month after due diligence, according to Bloomberg.
