Today's lead story

Claude Code Projects is open to everyone on the Pro and Max waitlist, with a separate cloud thread for every task

First seen on X 4 hours ago@ClaudeDevs ♥ 6,28510 views

Anthropic's ClaudeDevs account said on October 9 that it had let in every Pro and Max user on the Claude Code Projects waitlist. Projects is one ongoing conversation where you keep handing Claude work and it starts a separate thread for each task, running them in parallel. Threads are usually cloud sessions, so they keep going after you close the laptop, and you can check on them and steer them from your phone. When a task needs something only your computer has, that thread can run on your machine through Remote Control.

Each cloud thread works on its own branch and opens a pull request when the work calls for one. After that it fixes failing CI and answers review comments. Project instructions and memory are written once and every thread inherits them. The Overview pane shows which threads finished, which pull requests are ready for review and which thread is waiting on you. There is no separate price, but projects draw on the same plan limits as other Claude Code sessions, and faster. If Projects doesn't appear in the sidebar, the rollout hasn't reached your account yet and you can join the waitlist. Team and Enterprise plans aren't supported yet.
