Anthropic files for Nasdaq IPO under 'ANT' as first-half revenue jumps 14-fold to $16.3 billion

Anthropic has filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC for its initial public offering. It plans to list Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker "ANT" and has not yet set the number of shares or the price range.

Per the filing made public on Oct 26, revenue for the first half of 2026 reached $16.29 billion, 14 times the $1.16 billion a year earlier. The operating loss was $693 million, but a $72.4 billion fair-value charge on convertible notes, driven by its rising valuation, pushed the net loss to $80.7 billion. Customers paying $100,000 or more a year grew from about 950 to more than 11,900 in a year, and headcount rose from about 940 at the end of 2024 to 5,300. The filing says the top 5% of Claude Enterprise users on Claude Code spend about 20 times what non-Claude Code users do (under $75 a month on average). The seven co-founders, including CEO Dario Amodei, will hold a special share class carrying 50.1% of shareholder voting power. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are leading the offering. Anthropic's post on X passed 520,000 views, with replies asking when Fable 5.5 will arrive.

“Anthropic has filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC related to its proposed IPO.”
