Jobs"Clients only wanted the data": a laid-off 27-year-old and a studio down from 20 to 3 in MBC clips with 700K views

Two short clips from MBC's investigative show PD Su-cheop, 'AI Dilemma Part 1', passed a combined 700,000 views over the weekend: 424,000 for 'One day my whole team was gone' and 283,000 for one on AI hitting fashion jobs.

In the first, 27-year-old Ji-hyun was told in June to resign from the consumer-data analysis firm she had worked at for over three years. "Once AI came in, you just drop in any file and it reads and analyzes it," she said. "Clients only wanted the data, and at some point everyone on my team was gone." She handed over her AI prompts on the way out. A business owner said AI costs "not even a tenth" of labor, so that becomes the yardstick.

The fashion clip shows both sides. A seller who shoots clothes on her phone and has AI models wear them said a lookbook that cost about 5 million won now costs under 300,000 won, freeing time with her child. A studio that used to have about 20 people on set now runs with three, and said stylists, photographers and hair and makeup artists are hit hard.

Top comments included "Why is there no AI change in law and politics?" (471 likes). Part 2, 'The case of the missing new hires', aired Oct 20.
