A developer who handed the AI agent Grok Bot $1,000 and told it to build itself a body says parts keep showing up at his apartment, a post that passed 4,000 likes on X.

"I gave my Grok bot $1000 to build itself a body. Parts just keep showing up at my apartment," developer Evan Bacon wrote on Oct 20 with a photo. He said he has "kind of a crazy plan" and will post updates as parts arrive, adding that anyone can try the same by tagging @bot.

Replies included "I really hope you looked over it's plan before committing" and "does the $1000 include paying you to assemble it." Asked to give it eyeballs, he said he had a plan for that.

Grok Bot is SpaceX's personal agent that can make calls, send email and buy things for users. Sawyer Merritt reported that SpaceX said Grok Bot had 800,000 paid weekly users earlier this month, more than double the month before.
