Google Cloud has started selling OpenAI's newest models, direct rivals to its own Gemini, to enterprise customers.
In an Oct 21 blog post, Google Cloud said GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna are rolling out in private preview in its Model Garden. Companies can buy them through Google Cloud Marketplace and draw down existing cloud commitments, and developers can point their local Codex CLI and desktop app at Google's Gemini platform for inference.
Google Cloud says it is now "the only hyperscale cloud provider offering access to all three leading closed source LLMs." Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 are already in Google Antigravity, and OpenAI models are coming soon to Gemini for business and Antigravity.
The deal headline from breaking-news account Walter Bloomberg passed 1,200 likes on X.
