Codex will ship one improvement or reset usage every day for the next 28 days

OpenAI Codex lead @thsottiaux said on October 4 that for the next 28 days the team will do one of two things each day: ship a clear improvement relevant to most Codex and ChatGPT work users, or give everyone a full usage reset. The window runs through November 1, and the post passed 14,000 likes and a million views.

A day earlier he said the team is locking in and will only work on simplifications, more efficient usage, groundbreaking features or new models, because feedback was clear that people want things simpler. Asked whether this was a response to cancellations, he said user and subscriber counts are growing nicely.
