JobsHubSpot is cutting about 660 jobs, 7% of its staff

HubSpot CEO Yamini Rangan said on October 6 that the software company will cut roughly 7% of its workforce, nearly 660 people, as it reorganizes around delivering customer outcomes with AI. The company wants a flatter organization with fewer management layers and more focus on top priorities.

The restructuring will cost $65 million to $75 million, mostly severance, notice pay and benefits, and the cuts should be substantially done by the end of the first quarter of 2027. Rangan said the cuts are not driven by AI efficiencies but that AI is behind the sweeping changes to the company.
