Add a marketplace and install a plugin in one command with --marketplace
You used to add a marketplace first and then install the plugin separately. Now pass the source with --marketplace on the install command. From your shell this works since v2.1.292 (October 6).
claude plugin install deploy-helper --marketplace your-org/plugins
The source takes the same forms as /plugin marketplace add: a GitHub owner/repo, a git URL or a local path. Give the plugin name alone, without an @marketplace suffix.
It also works inside a session (v2.1.275 or later). For a marketplace you haven't added, Claude Code shows the resolved source and asks before adding it. In a session the source can't contain spaces.
/plugin install deploy-helper --marketplace your-org/plugins
The shell command adds the marketplace without asking. A source you've already added is reused, and a new marketplace is declared in your user settings even with --scope project. The same organization policy checks as marketplace add apply.
