How to keep looped system cross-certificates in Claude Code with an environment variable
Claude Code 2.1.316 (October 31) adds the CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_LOOPED_CROSS_CERT_DROP environment variable. Some system cross-certificates certify each other in a loop, and setting this variable keeps them instead of dropping them. Use it when a server behind a private certificate authority (CA) needs one of those certificates.
export CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_LOOPED_CROSS_CERT_DROP=1
claude
The changelog gives only the variable name and its purpose, not a value format. The 1 above follows other switch-style variables. The environment variables reference doesn't list it yet. Try it if you hit certificate errors connecting to a server behind a private CA.
