How to turn off a pull request's Claude Code Review push subscription with a comment
In Claude Code's Code Review, a pull request subscribed with @claude review always gets a fresh review on every push. Since version 2.1.307, released October 21, one comment on the pull request ends that subscription.
@claude review stop
@claude review off and @claude review pause do the same. The command doesn't start a review and doesn't cancel one that's already queued or running. Claude replies with a comment instead of a check run.
For the comment to take effect:
- Post it as a new top-level pull request comment. Inline comments on a diff line, review bodies and edits to an earlier comment don't count.
- Put the whole command on one line at the start of the comment; other text can follow. If
stopis misspelled or on a later line, Claude reads it as a plain@claude reviewand runs a single review. - You need write, maintain or admin permission on the repository, and the pull request must be open.
Use it in repositories whose Review runs setting is Manual or Once after PR creation. In a repository set to After every push, pushes start reviews with or without a subscription, so a comment can't stop them. To pause reviews on one pull request there, convert it to a draft. Marking it ready for review again starts a review.
