How to turn on Claude Code Review for GitHub PRs and set the review level per repository

Code Review for Claude Code left research preview and became generally available on October 15. Several agents read each GitHub pull request on Anthropic infrastructure, and only findings that pass a verification step are posted as inline comments. You don't add workflow files to your repositories.

1. An Owner of your Claude organization opens the Code review section of Admin settings > Claude Code on claude.ai and clicks the Allow code review switch.

1. Connect your GitHub account with Connect GitHub. If your repositories aren't listed, install the Claude GitHub App with Install GitHub App; an owner of the GitHub organization has to do this.
2. Select the repositories to review, click Continue, then Finish. If you close the dialog without Finish, the repositories stay added but Code Review stays off.
3. Open a test pull request that isn't a draft. A check run named Claude Code Review should appear within a few minutes.

There are three review levels: Quick, Standard (the default) and Deep. Deeper reviews take longer and cost more. Set the organization default under Review level, and override it per repository with Edit on that repository's row. New repositories start at After every push, so to cut spend, change Review runs to Once after PR creation or Manual.

In a Manual repository, anyone with write access requests a review by commenting on the PR.

Comment @claude review always to also review that PR on every later push. Tune what gets flagged and skipped with a REVIEW.md at the repository root. It's read from the base or default branch, never from the PR's own changes, so merge it first.

Code Review is for GitHub repositories on Team and Enterprise plans, and isn't available to organizations with Zero Data Retention or the HIPAA configuration. A review never approves or blocks a PR. To get a review on your own machine on any plan, run /code-review in a session.
