How to migrate your design systems from standalone Claude Design into Claude

The standalone Claude Design site at claude.ai/design closes on December 14, 2026, after which that address takes you to Claude. Move the design systems you made there into Claude ahead of time. One migration brings over every design system in your organization, including other people's, so only one person needs to start it, and anyone who can use Claude Design can do so, not just owners.

  1. Open the Artifacts page in Claude.
  2. Click Migrate team design systems in the 'Claude Design lives here now' banner. If you closed the banner, choose it from the Claude Design menu at the top right.
  3. Click Migrate to confirm. On individual plans there's no confirmation step and it starts right away.
  4. When it finishes, check the Migrated list for each design system's owner and Open link. Closing the window doesn't stop the migration.

Empty design systems and ones made from a built-in starter theme aren't migrated, even if you edited them. Published design systems that aren't private are shared with everyone in your organization. Ones that fail show up under Couldn't be migrated with a reason: click Fix in Claude Design Standalone in that row, run Check, fix the listed files, and migrate again from the Artifacts page. You can't edit a migrated design system on its page yet, so ask Claude to make changes.

On Enterprise plans design systems are off by default, so an owner needs to turn them on first. Your projects keep working in the standalone version until it closes, but its chats, comments and public links won't be available afterward.
